Microsoft Outlook is a popular email client. It is the most widely used email application for email management. However, like any other application, it’s not immune to occasional errors that can disrupt its seamless functionality. One such error that users may encounter is Outlook error 1200. What is Outlook Error 1200?
Sometimes users try to sign in to their Outlook or OneDrive they encountererror 1200 along with the message that went wrong when trying to sign into OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, or any other Microsoft service. In that case, users cannot access any service connected to their Microsoft account because of the error code 1200.
There are various reasons to get this error during the Microsoft sign-in process- if you entered the incorrect sign-in credentials several times. If the cached files and browser cookies stored get corrupted, it may also cause error 1200. Sometimes Microsoft blocks or suspends your account due to security reasons, this may also cause this error.
How to Fix Error 1200 in Outlook?
There are several ways to fix this error which are given below-
1. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
- Open Google Chrome on your Windows PC.
- Click on three dots and choose Settings.
- Click on Privacy and Security option on left side pane of Settings window.
- Select Clear Browsing Data option and click on Clear data.
After clearing browser cache and cookies, check error 12200 is resolved or not.
2. Delete Cached Credentials File
Sometimes Outlook error 1200 is caused by credentials. To fix this error, you need to clear cached credentials file. To do it-
- Open run command by pressing Windows + R key.
- Type %localappdata% and press Enter.
- Locate Microsoft folder and double click it to access its contents.
- Now, right click on Credentials folder and choose Delete option.
Reastart your Outlook application and check error 1200 is solved or not.
3. Perfrom Clean Boot
Sometimes, third party applications can prevent Outlook to logging in. By cleaing boot, you can disable third party program and solve the error. To do it-
- Open Run commend and type msconfig and then press Ok.
- System Configuration window open where disable Load startup items and enable the Load system services option in General tab.
- Enable Hide all Microsoft services to look them and then click on Disable All.
- Click Apply to save cjanges and pres Ok to close System configuration window.
After that, restart Outlook and check it logging properly or not.
